Mildred Virginia (Fitzgerald) Bradley

Mildred Virginia (Fitzgerald) Bradley, 86, of Stuarts Draft passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 at Envoy of Staunton. Born July 18, 1933 in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Willie Francis (Painter) Fitzgerald and Homer Dow and Minnie Fitzgerald. Mildred was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and cooking, sewing and canning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Dayton Bradley; daughter, Sarah Bradley; grandson, Keith Painter; sister, Hilda Finch; brother, Henry Fitzgerald; step brother, Bobby Halliday; son-in-law, Robert Humpreys; and daughter-in-law, Irene Bradley. Survivors include her children, Margaret Chittum and husband, Charles, Nonie Humpreys, Lloyd Bradley, Jr., Kenneth Bradley, Malcolm Bradley and wife, Kathy, Gary Bradley and wife, Crystal, Becky Hunt and husband, Allen, and Jennifer Moore and husband, Sammy; grandchildren, Andrew, Little Robert, Cathy, Sharon, Karen, Jason, Matt, Harriett, David, Cody, Payton, Faith, and Kimberly; 21 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Hwy., Stuarts Draft. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Mt. Paran Baptist Church, 7140 Irish Creek Road, Vesuvius, with Pastor Billy Coffey and Pastor Fred Salmons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family members.
