Rebecca Ann "Becky" Edwards

Born July 18, 1972 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of James Edward “Jimmy” Watts and the late Judy Maxine (Pannell) Watts.

Prior to her illness, Becky was employed by Hollister, Inc., Stuarts Draft. Becky was a member of Sherando United Methodist Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, fishing, and loving on her dogs, Lucky, Finley, and Goober.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Doris Moore; brother-in-law, Troy Edwards; and her three beloved dogs, Max, Zoey, and Ace.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 32 years, Darrell G. Edwards of Lyndhurst; adored daughter, Brooke Edwards and partner, Chase Wilson, of Harrisonburg; father, James Edward “Jimmy” Watts; brother, Richard E. Watts and wife, Tammy R. Nutty, of Staunton; half-brother, Keith Watts; niece, MacKenzie Watts; sister-in-law, Tiffany Simmons and husband, Sam, of Staunton; and nephews, Drake, Jaden and Nick.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Lyndhurst United Methodist Church, 2835 Lyndhurst Road, Lyndhurst with Rev. David A. Rash, Pastor of Sherando United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
