Troy Michael Dameron

Mr. Dameron was born on August 18, 1973 in Augusta County and was a son of the late Charles Andrew Dameron, and the surviving Margie Gray (Doyle) Dameron. Michael was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he worked for Burris Logistics, now known as Lineage Logistics. He was employed for more than 25 years, and worked his way from Dock Worker to General Manager. Mr. Dameron was always known for being a great boss and mentor, and touched many lives of coworkers and associates. Michael was a self-taught musician and guitarist for the band Property. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time outdoors. Mr. Dameron was an avid NASCAR and MotoCross fan. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

On May 20, 2017 he married his soulmate, the former Ashley Nicole Byrd, who survives.

In addition to his wife and mother, Michael is survived by his children, Andrew Michael Dameron, Christian Jamison Maclam, Braylon Craig Maclam, Zeplyn Delaney Maclam, all of Stuarts Draft; siblings, Penny Blake of Crozet, Eddie Dameron of Stuarts Draft, Tommy Dameron of Stuarts Draft; nieces and nephews, Lara Blake, Jacob Blake, Miranda Conner, Katie Dameron; and his aunts, Mary “Sissy” Taylor and Betty Jane Mclaughlin.

He was preceded in death by a number of aunts and uncles.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday July 21, 2022 at 3 PM at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Home with Pastor David Whitesell officiating. Burial will follow at Rankin United Methodist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.

The casket will remain closed.

Active Pallbearers for the service will be Justin Earven, Eddie Holmes, Keith Head, Scott Byrd, Shane Chandler, Mike Piscitelli, Jimmy Bell, Keith Johnson, and Matt Painter.
