Elaine (Kearns) Russo

Of Wayland passed away peacefully on March 2nd, 2023 following a brief illness.

Born in Watertown, MA in 1934, Elaine was the youngest of six children of Michael and Ellen (Glynn) Kearns, originally of Galway, Ireland.

Beloved wife of Thomas "Tommy" Russo. Loving mother of Tom and his wife Sharon of Wayland, and Elaine "Lainie" MacKay and her husband Kevin of Walpole. Proud Grandy of Andrew, Kerry, Brooke, Lauren and Michael. Special Aunt to Judy Curtain. Godmother to Sheila Nolan. Sister of the late Catherine, William (Phoebe) and Rosemary Kearns, Frances (Paul) Muller and Grace (George) Hanley. Elaine also leaves her brothers-in-law Andrew (Josephine) and David (and his late wife Mary) Russo, her sister-in-law Eleanor (and her late husband Will) Kallberg, and the late Frank (Amelia) Russo, as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves many cousins in Ireland, and one of her greatest joys were the many trips she took to visit them.

Elaine was born and raised in Watertown and Belmont and graduated from Belmont High School. She worked for many years at BayBank, now Bank of America, before retiring and enjoying a new career at the Audubon Shop at Drumlin Farm in Lincoln.

Elaine will be remembered for her warm and loving ways and sharp wit. She leaves us with many wonderful memories of sharing hearty laughs, especially with her sisters.

Visiting Hours in the Duckett-J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Rd. (Rt. 20) SUDBURY on Tuesday March 7, 2023 from 9:00-10:30 AM prior to the Funeral Service in the Funeral Home at 10:30 AM. Interment Wadsworth Cemetery, Sudbury.
