

Gary L. McWilliams, 76, who called Buenos Aires, Argentina home for decades, but recently moved to Boston, MA, passed away suddenly on October 9, 2021, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of 45 years, of Dorita McWilliams also of Buenos Aires, Argentina and most recently Boston, MA; Loving father of Stuart McWilliams of Park City, UT and Kristina McWilliams-Hawkins and her husband Rodney of Marlboro, MA; Cherished grandfather of Katie and Zach Hawkins of Marlboro, MA; Brother of the late Marquita Robson of Louisiana; Uncle to Caryn Robson and Mark Robson and wife Joana of Kansas; Brother in law of Alcides Vagues and the late Felipe Cruz of Cordoba, Argentina; Uncle of Tamara Cruz, Felipe Cruz and his wife Matilda of Cordoba, Argentina; Great-uncle of Emelina Cruz of Cordoba, Argentina.
He attended Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg, FL before joining the Navy and then earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern University in Louisiana. He enjoyed a long and successful career of 30 years with Amoco International Oil Company. After his career at Amoco, he founded iLatina Business Solutions in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he was owner and CEO for 20 years. Gary also enjoyed the opportunity to serve as President of the American Club and as President of the School Board at Lincoln International School in Buenos Aires. True to his nature, Gary never stopped working and planning for tomorrow.
Gary enjoyed living and traveling all over the world with Dorita. He loved time spent playing with his grandkids, whom he adored, coaching baseball, fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
A private family viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 12th. Gary’s final resting place will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
