

Marilyn Fraser of Bonita Springs, Florida, formerly of Wellesley and of Lunenburg, Mass., died December 7, 2025.
She received her Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1955 from M.I.T. As a student, she was elected to Tau Beta Pi, was a Grunsfeld European Fellow, won the Alpha Rho Chi Medal, the Special Rotch Prize, and the American Institute of Architects Award. She taught architectural design at M.I.T., the Boston Architectural Center, and
Wellesley College. Her architectural practice in Wellesley, from 1960 to 1998, included primarily medical, recreational, and educational buildings. She was active in the Boston Society of Architects, elected its president for the 1979-1980 term.
Before moving to Lunenburg in 1987 and to Bonita Springs in 2009, she participated in Wellesley town affairs as both Town Meeting Member and Planning Board Member and Chairman. An award winning artist in the media of watercolor, acrylics, and oils, she was a member of the Wellesley Society of Artists and the Art Center of Bonita Springs. After retirement, she continued to paint; her work was shown in juried exhibitions locally, regionally, and nationally.
A daughter of the late Alfred A. and Helen (Comiskey) Fraser, she was the sister of the late Janet Fraser and the late Robert B. Fraser.
