

Age 97 of Weston formerly of Wayland, June 29, 2013 after a long illness. Beloved husband of Star (Paris) Myles for 58 years. Devoted father of Star M. Zabriskie and her husband Charles of Wellesley, Barbara Myles of Stow, and Loring Myles of Charlottesville, VA. Proud grandfather of Phillip M. Zabriskie, Christopher W. Zabriskie, and Haven M. Wachtmeister. Tom graduated from Harvard College in 1937 and Harvard Law School in 1941. After passing the bar exam, Tom joined the U.S. Army Infantry in February 1942. He gave thanks to Harvard for being selected for the Counter Intelligence Corps before the Philippine invasions, which he believed may have saved his life. As a Captain he commanded CIC teams in Japan and was responsible for carrying out counter intelligence missions and investigations. After WWII, Tom was a trial lawyer for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company then was a general practice lawyer in Harvard Square. Tom enjoyed living with his family in Wayland, playing tennis with his Tuesday Night Tennis (TNT) group, gardening, reading, and all things Harvard. A memorial service will be held at Sunrise of Weston, 135 North Ave, Weston at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 8. Relatives and friends invited.
