Alfred M. Wanamaker of Monsey, NY died on August 13, 2010 at the age of 85. Born October 17, 1924 to Glode and Agnes (nee Nagaard) Wanamaker. He later served in the US Army during World War II and married Gertrude McClintock. Alfred is survived by his devoted wife Gertrude Wanamaker, loving children Alfred (Cathy) Wanamaker of Suffern, Karen (Daniel) Amorosi of Suffern, Robert Wanamaker of Monsey, Raymond (Barbara) Wanamaker of Monsey, caring siblings Robert Wanamaker and Beatrice VanTeuren, 12 cherished grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901. The Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by the interment at Fred W. Loescher Veteran's Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
