

Alice was predeceased by her brothers and sisters – Mary Jones, Cassie Collins, Anna Mae and Lois Collier, Neal, Tommy, Willie and James Collier.
Alice was educated and graduated in Terrell County, Georgia. She worked at Turner Air Force Base in Albany, Georgia as a cook and later as a Store Manager in New York. Her ill health forced her to become a homemaker to her family. She was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Harlem, New York until her health would not allow her to attend. She continued to serve the Lord by singing, praying and speaking His word.
She met and married Johnny Will Hayes (deceased) and from that union seven children were born - John, Barbara, Carol, Michael, Arthur, Harriet (deceased) and Maxine.
She later met and married Eugene McClenton (Mack) and from that union one daughter – Regina.
Alice was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her dedication and hard work to keep her family together has earned our undying love and gratitude. She will be remembered for her love of entertaining, cooking and straight talk – “Mama don’t take no mess”.
Alice Mae McClenton departed this life on February 19, 2015, She is survived by her husband, Eugene McClenton; Her children: John Hayes (Jackie) of Harriman, NY; Barbara Corbin and Carol King of Albany, GA; Michael Hayes (Lorraine) of Chestnut Ridge, NY; Arthur Hayes (MaryAnn-fiancée) of Middletown, NY, Maxine Hayes of Bronx, NY, and Regina McClenton of Wallkill, NY; She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Vandalyn (deceased), Kimberly (deceased), Schnika, Michael Jr., Devin (Holly), Kia, Matthew (Sue), Curtis, Brian, Cory, Donna, Amanda, Christopher, Courtney, Drey, Clay and Brianna; and her twenty-two (22) great-grandchildren.
