

Angelo came to the United States in 1936. He served in the US Army from 1949 to 1952. He was very proud of his Army service. Angelo married his childhood sweetheart Gloria Angrisani on May 2, 1953. After he was honorably discharged from the Army he worked in data processing for Continental Can Company as a systems analyst manager. Angelo was a former president of the Data Processing Management Association. After retirement Angelo became an integral part of his sons engineering company functioning as the firms comptroller. Angelo enjoyed playing chess and was a skilled carpenter.
Angelo is survived by his wife of 64 years Gloria Pilla, loving children Richard Pilla (Mary Ann), Rosanne Tatarsky (Jack), and Dominick Pilla (Chaya), cherished grandchildren Marc Anthony and Alex David Tatarsky, Matteo Dominick Pilla, and Arabella Ava Pilla, and caring brother Giovanni Pilla. Angelo is predeceased by his siblings Marieantonia, Emanuele, and Pasquale Pilla.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 4-8PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 10AM Sacred Heart Church, Suffern, NY with burial to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
