Ellie graduated from Woodlands High School, Hartsdale, NY in 1964 and attended Rider College, later becoming a teaching assistant at Kakiat Junior High School until her retirement in 1996. Ellie was a warm, gracious and engaging soul and everyone who encountered her fell instantly in love with her. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family and friends, renovating and decorating homes, doing DIY projects and being an active parishioner of All Souls Church in Suffern, NY, where she met a group of wonderful women, whom she referred to as her “sisters.” Every Thursday night, she hosted them for dinner and Bible Study at her home.
