

Fanny “Faye” M. Savage of Suffern died Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the age of 79. Born January 20, 1934 in Bronx, NY to Vincenzo and Luisa DiDio. For over 30 years she was a dedicated employee of Mahwah High School, retiring as Secretary to the Principal. Faye was an avid reader; she loved the NY Yankees and was known as a “Scrabble Champion”. She will be remembered for her passion and love for her family, as well as her remarkable sense of humor.
Survived by her beloved husband William Savage, loving children Kathleen Carelli (Jim), William E. Savage (wife Amy) and Patricia Ryan (husband Thomas), devoted grandchildren Christina (husband Timothy), Alissa (Fiancé John), William, Joseph, Scott, Kayla, Brendan and T.J., cherished great grandchild Shane and a caring sister and best friend Dora Villafranco (husband William). Predeceased by siblings Anthony, Nicholas, Lawrence and Mary Agostinelli.
Visitation will be held at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901 on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, NY on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 10am followed by an entombment at Ascension Cemetery in Airmont, NY.
