Francois Michel

Francois was born December 22, 1945 to Joseph Michel and Erzulia Fleuridor in Bassin Bleu, Haiti. As a young man Francois worked as a Jeweler's apprentice under boss Raul in Haiti and ended his career as a Maintenance man at Northern Metropolitan Nursing home, Monsey, NY.

In 1973, he married his beautiful wife Jeannette Saint Fort who predeceased him on July 28, 2004 after 31 years of marriage and 3 children. Francois was a quiet, simple and incredibly hard working man. He was always willing to help others and he did this selflessly. Taken too soon, Francois is survived by his daughters Linda Dolce, Medge Michel, Schmide Michel-Devis, his son Kindley Michel, his grandchildren Fricardo Dolce, Jasmine Blaise, Janelle Blaise, Medgerve Jeannette Bien-Aime, his sisters and brother Marceline Michel, Anthony Michel, Judith Michel, Josephine Louis, and his many nieces and nephews

A visitation for Francois will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901 and Saturday morning from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at French Speaking Baptist Church, 80 N Madison Ave, Spring Valley, New York 10977. A celebration of life will begin at 9:30 AM. A burial to follow service will occur at St. Anthony's Cemetery, 36 W. Nyack Rd., Nanuet, NY 10954.
