Fred was born on September 1, 1930 to Frederick and Dorothy in Nyack, NY. He was married to Diane Traband and previously married to Jessie Bazzeghin. He was a Life Member of the Hillcrest Fire Company #1 and Kearsing Edwards Legion Post. He served during the Korean War for the US Army. Fred is survived by his daughters Nancy Kaufer of Tuxedo and Sue Ellen Lieman of Suffern, sister Dorthy Bowman of Monsey and grandchildren Anna, Sara and Samuel Kaufer and Anna and Zachary Lieman.
Visitation will be held on November 15th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern NY. A service will be held on Saturday, November 16th at 10am at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home followed by burial at F.W. Loescher Veteran’s Cemetery on Brick Church Road in New Hempstead. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hillcrest Fire Company #1, 300 N. Main Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977.
