Jeremiah “Jerry” Anthony Dixon of Airmont, NY and a lifelong resident of Rockland County passed away September 2, 2015 at age 78. Born March 3, 1937 in Manhattan, NY to James and Shelia (Mulcahy) Dixon. Jerry served honorably with the US Marine Corps. He worked for Orange and Rockland Utilities for 50 years and was an accomplished Troubleman. He served the residents of Rockland as a Past Captain of the Empire Hook and Ladder Co. # 1 and as an Auxiliary Police Officer in Upper Nyack. Jerry received 3 Commendations for heroism while saving lives and property. Survived by his beloved wife Greta, loving children Shelley Musleh (husband Naser), Kathy Fastoff (husband Rich) and Donna Raimondi (fiancée William), cherished grandchildren John, Shelia, Emily, Rikku (husband Ken), and Joseph, and caring brother Tom Dixon (wife Mary Lou). Visitation Monday 7-9pm and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home 177 Route 59 in Suffern. Funeral Mass Wednesday 10am at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern followed by an interment at Frederick W. Loescher veterans Cemetery in New Hempstead, NY.
