Joseph Romeo Ciraldo Jr.

Born on May 6, 1961, Joseph grew up in Brooklyn, NY, where he developed the strong values of loyalty, hard work, and devotion to family that stayed with him throughout his life. He was a proud father, son, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose greatest joy came from being surrounded by the people he loved most.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughters, Danielle Candela (Mariano) and their children, Marina and Giovanni; Jaclynn Helchowski (Joseph) and their children, Gianna, Dylan, Bryce, and Julia; and Brittani Cornman (Robert), their son, Lincoln, and a daughter expected later this month.

He is also survived by his loving mother, Evelyn Cioffi; his sister, Dawn Marinelli; and his brothers, Alfred Ciraldo and Mark Ciraldo, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph R. Ciraldo Sr.

Joseph had many accomplishments throughout his life, both personally and professionally, but nothing was more important to him than his family, who remained the center of his world. He had a passion for cars, boats, motorcycles, cigars, and the UFC, but his greatest happiness came from time spent with those closest to him. He especially cherished time with his grandchildren and looked forward to the family’s annual Memorial Day week at the Jersey Shore, where he was happiest surrounded by everyone together.

He will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty, and the lasting memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation service on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901.

A prayer service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, May 16th from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph’s memory to Joe Raso Hospice Residence in appreciation for the compassionate care provided to him and his family.

Joseph will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew him.
