Lucy K. Huffield

May 3, 1938 - January 5, 2023

Lucy K. Huffield, 84, of Suffern, NY, passed away peacefully on January 5, in the presence of loved ones. Born in Connecticut, she spent most of her early years in the West Hartford area. She married Richard Huffield, Sr. in 1959 and subsequently lived in Natick MA, Poughkeepsie NY, Boulder CO, Congers NY and Pomona NY, before divorcing in 1975. Lucy resided in Suffern for the last 45 years. Until recently, she was very active in the Ramapo and Suffern Senior Clubs.

A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Lucy spent the majority of her career working as a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department at various hospitals. She also worked as an office nurse, camp nurse, paralegal, college professor, inside sales rep and a developer of computer-based training. Her biggest accomplishment and her true legacy is the large loving family she leaves behind.

Lucy is survived by four children: Heidi Calcagno and her husband John, Richard Huffield Jr. and his wife Catherine, Timothy Huffield and his wife Bonnie, Robin Tarantino and her husband William; ten grandchildren: Nicholas Huffield and his wife Arianna, Sabrina McCarthy and her husband Liam, Jason Calcagno, Casey Szklany and her husband Sean, Lindsey Huffield, Lisa Calcagno, Jessica Tarantino, Jenna Calcagno, Kristen Tarantino and Nicholas Tarantino; and three great-grandchildren: Finn McCarthy, Luke Szklany and Lucian Huffield; a sister Kathryn Robison and nephews Philip and Paul Ramponi.
