

Marianne Whipple, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, in Airmont, NY, at the age of 93. Born on September 20, 1931, in Suffern, NY, she was the youngest of ten children to her loving parents, James Iorio and Rose Palma.
Marianne was a lifelong resident of Rockland County, where she graduated from Suffern High School and earned her Associate's Degree from Rockland Community College. A devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, she lived her faith with grace and kindness.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Douglas Whipple, and her children: John De Luca, Debra DuPont (Roger), Marilyn De Luca, and Rosann Whipple. Her heart overflowed with love for her two cherished grandchildren, Lori and Kaila, and her two precious great-grandchildren, Madison and Max. Marianne was predeceased by her first husband, John De Luca, who passed away on September 22, 1958.
A woman of boundless energy, Marianne found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid walker and hiker, always on the move and embracing the outdoors. She loved the water, whether it was a serene lakeside retreat or a walk along the beach. Her passion for dancing was infectious, and her love for her family was the heartbeat of her life.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 3-6 PM at the Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Rt. 59, Suffern, NY, with funeral services to follow at the funeral home.

Marianne’s warmth, strength, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
