

Marie T. Innocent, 87, of 1136 Columbus Circle, passed away peacefully on January 6, in the presence of a loved one. Born in Croix-des-Bouquets, she spent most of her early years in Port-Au-Prince Haiti. She married Jean Venic Germain in 1955 in Port-Au-Prince Haiti and subsequently moved to Spring Valley NY in 1974, divorced in 1984. Furthermore, she lived in Irvington NJ, Alamogordo NM, and JB Andrews MD.
Marie exhibits no hesitation about her trust in God. She believed God. She hoped in God. She loved God. She progressed in the divine life, and from what we can tell, she attained a measure of union with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her biggest accomplishment and her true legacy are the loving family she leaves behind.
Marie is survived by her sister Dieula Louissaint. Her four children: Jean V. Germain, Mireille Germain and her husband Sony Boucicault, Josue Germain, his wife Gailletane Germain and Mickaelle M. Germain; 15 grandchildren 5 great great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Marie will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 9:00 AM-10:20 AM (10:30 Mass) at First Timothy Christian Church , 198 N. Main St., Spring Valley, New York 10977. An entombment following funeral Mass will occur at Ascension Cemetery, 650 Saddle River Rd., Airmont, New York 10952.
