

Gerard Brady was born in Dundalk County Louth on March 30, 1951 to his parents Hugh and Anne (McCoy). He then immigrated to New York City in 1960 and proudly became a United States citizen in 2001. He met the love of his life, Eileen (Garvey), and was married in 1978. They recently celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary. Gerard was a dedicated business owner. Himself and his brothers owned many successful businesses over the years, including supermarkets and Brady’s Tavern. Gerard was a loyal friend and neighbor, loving uncle, and someone you could always depend on. He was an avid golf player and was steadfast in his faith. What brought him the most joy though was his three children Alana, Gerard and Kaylin.
Gerard is survived by his wife Eileen and his children Alana (Christopher), Gerard and Kaylin. His siblings Maura Henderson (Jim), Hugh Brady (Pauline), Anthony Brady (Bernadette), Irene Brosnan (Eamon), and Aidan Brady. He is additionally survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law (Garvey) and his many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Hugh and Anne Brady, his siblings Patsy, Jim, Anna, and Gene Brady and his sister-in-law Teresa Brady.

The family will be present on Tuesday May 26, 2026 from 4-8 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home - 177 NY-59, Suffern, NY 10901.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday May 27, 2026 at St. Anthony’s Church - 36 W Nyack Rd, Nanuet, NY 10954. Following the Mass, Gerard will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery - 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
