She was born in Manila, Philippines, on December 24, 1921 to Andres & Julita Macapagal. She served the Army during the World War II. Meding was married to Pedrito Montevirgen (deceased) on September 20, 1947.
She was survived by her children, Virgilio, Edna, Marian and Alma, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her remains lie in state at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home – 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901. Viewing will be on Aug 24 and 25 (Saturday and Sunday) at 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM on both days. A memorial mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church, Nanuet, New York, on August 26, 2013 (Monday), at 11:30 AM to be followed by her cremation at Garden State Crematory.
