Rosario Mayo a resident of Suffern passed away June 27, 2013 at the age of 95. She was born October 2, 1917 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico to the late Juan M. and Elaida (Davila) Lopez. For many years Rosario worked as a cafeteria worker in Brandies High School in New York City. She was a devout catholic and devoted her life to her family. She is survived by her children, Mildred Pappas (Michael) and Harry Mayo. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Denise, Michael, Christopher and Andre` as well as her great-grandchildren, Erika, Michael, Nicholas, Steven, Joseph and Joshua. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Harry G. Mayo on July 11, 1987. Friends may call on Sunday, June 30th from 2-4PM & 7-9PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM on Monday, July 1st at Sacred Heart Church, Suffern, NY. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
