

Rose Petraglia, 84, passed away at 3:21 am on May 18, 2012 in Good Samaritan Hospital of Suffern, NY after complications of heart failure. Rose was born on August 26, 1927 in Harlem, NY to her parents Angelina Ruzzi and Annunziato Paladino. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Anna and Maggie, and brothers, Carmine and Joseph.
Surviving are her four children, Phyllis Sears, Peter-John Petraglia, Angela La Rocca, and Louis Petraglia. Also surviving are three generations of Grandchildren.
Rose thought her greatest legacy was her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, family and friends (especially her friends at Esther Gitlow Towers). She lit up a room with her smile and laughter.
Most importantly, Rose lived her life as a Good Samaritan. She received and outstanding amount of awards for her voluntary services at the Senior Citizen Center she attended.
Although Rose has touched so many lives in so many different ways, she will always be remembered for making the best home-made ravioli’s anyone could ever imagine. She will truly be missed.
Friends and family are invited to attend services that will be held at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901 on SUNDAY, May 20th 1:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm., (845) 357-0423.
Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Parish,129 Lafayette Avenue, Suffern, NY 10901, (845) 357-0035 on MONDAY, May 21st at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow Mass at Saint Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465, (718) 792-1133.
