Sandra M. Gunn

Born May 23, 1952 in New York City, New York. She was raised in Harlem, NY, graduated from Brandeis High School in Manhattan, NY. She attended Secretarial Trade School in Washington, D.C. Although Sandra did do some secretarial work and was an active poll worker on Election Days, her main love was working with young children at the daycare center in Pomona, NY.

Sandra will be remembered fondly, not only for her love of music and flair of fashion but her wonderful sense of humor. She was a loyal member of All Souls Church in Suffern, NY. Sandra touched many lives and she will be truly missed.

Besides her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her infant son, Duane Gunn, grandmother, Ethel Harris (Mama), grandfather, William Harris, aunts, Emma Jewell and Sarah Shelton, sister, Linda Gunn-Nixon, cousin, Aleta Jewell, and niece, Caitlin Gunn.

She is survived by her sisters, Donna Gunn and Velma Gunn, brother, Derek Gunn, sister/cousin, Wanda Comager, brother/cousin, Clarence Shelton, cousins, Dolores Jewell and Cheryl Bibbs, nieces, Angelique Alston, Aleta Eubanks (Duane), nephew, Russell Manley (Rhea), great nieces and nephews, Justin, Brittney, Markell, Leanna, Leatrice, Preston, and Morgan, ten great great nieces and nephews, her loving All Souls Church Family, dear friends Pat, Zenith, and Cledha, and a host of family and friends.

A visitation will be held at All Souls Community Church, 81 Washington Ave. Suffern on Saturday, January 7th, 2022 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am with a FUneral Mass immediately following at 11:00am.
