Somaly Preap

Born in Cambodia to Yi and Samoeun (Khieu) Preap, Somaly brought warmth, creativity, and love to all who knew her. A devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life — cooking nourishing meals for her family, creating beautiful pieces through crocheting and sewing, and capturing meaningful moments with her camera.

Somaly is survived by her loving husband, Fitzpatrick Cadet, and their beloved children, Alex and Farhana Cadet. She is also survived by her brother, Phyna Preap, and his wife, Sita Prak; her sister-in-law, Nejla Cadet; and her cousin, Raneth Renker, and husband, Eric. Her generous spirit, kind heart, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the honor of knowing her.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 AM, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery immediately after.

Somaly's life was a testament to love, resilience, and the beauty found in everyday moments. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
