

Steven Redner, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away suddenly on August 11, 2025, at the age of 47. Born in 1978, in Suffern, NY, and a graduate of Suffern High School in 1996, Steven brought light and joy to everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
Steven was the devoted and loving father to his daughters, Paige and Riley. He also welcomed his son-in-law, Rylan into the family with open arms. Steven cherished his family deeply, including his mother, Janet, his wife, Kitty, his siblings, Karen and Paul, as well as his brother-in-law, Michael and sister-in-law, Jessica. He was a proud uncle to Margaret, Benjamin, Eleanor, and Julianne, who he would do anything for if they asked.
Steven was predeceased by his father, Jim, whose memory he carried with him throughout his life.
Steven had a remarkable ability to bring smiles and laughter to those around him. His kind heart and unwavering willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone he met. An active and respected member of his community, Steven was involved in numerous organizations, including the Rotary Club and the Elks Club. His commitment to service and helping others will not be forgotten.
Steven’s life was tragically cut short in a motor vehicle accident, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Services for Steven will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025. Please join us for the visitation at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home at 177 NY-59 Suffern, NY 10901 from 11am-2pm. Following the visitation, at 3:30pm, will be a celebration of Steven’s life at the Haverstraw Elks Lodge at 877 Elks Dr. Haverstraw, NY 10927.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steven’s memory to Meals on Wheels of Rockland, 121 West Nyack Road, Nanuet, NY 10954.
The family also wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to Steven’s extended family, friends, and neighbors who shared their love and support through meals, donations, and words of encouragement.
