Thelma May Young

Thelma May Young of Sloatsburg, NY passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the age of 83. Thelma was born to Noah and Macy (Stanley) Williams on September 22,1932 in Providence, Rhode Island. Thelma was married to her beloved husband Robert Young until his passing in July of 1993. Thelma was the loving mother of Lucille Stanley (Henry) of Charlestown, NH, William E. Young (Karen) of Tuxedo, NY, James Young (Nancy) of Middletown, NY, Emma Stanley (Arthur) of Danville, VA, and Georgina Lambert (John) of Tuxedo, NY, cherished grandmother of 22, adored great grandmother of 49, caring sister to one brother and 5 sisters, and great great grandmother, aunt and friend to many. A special thank you to Imelda Hipolito (Mel) Thelma's full time live in care taker for the past 5 1/2 years. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern NY. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 5th, 11 AM also at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home in Suffern, NY. An Entombment will follow at Airmont Lutheran Cemetery, Suffern, NY.
