Victor William Smith

Victor William Smith of Suffern, NY passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the age of 76. Victor was born to Victor Wilson and Raffaele (Miele) Smith on November 22, 1940 in Suffern, NY. He is survived by his wife Marlene, daughter Stacey, her husband Hirbod and grandsons Cyrus and Pasha, all whom he loved dearly. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1958 until 1961. Victor was an active member of the Suffern American Legion Post 859, where he was Corporate President, Membership Chairman, Chairman of the Scouts, and past Vice Commander. He also was a member of the Forty & Eight club of Rockland County and one time Rockland Veteran of the Year.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 4-8PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, NY on Thursday, March 23rd at 10AM entombment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
