Vincent Angelo DeGioia of Mahwah, NJ passed away in New City, NY on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, he was 79. Born on August 19, 1935 in Sparkill, NY to Vincent and Lena DeGioia, he later served in the US Army and married the love of his life, Lois Gladys (Wanamaker) DeGioia, who predeceased him in 2009. He also had an extensive career at AT&T, where he ultimately became a Manager. Vince enjoyed his vegetable garden, the New York Giants, the New York Mets and spending time with his three grandchildren.
Vince is survived by his two daughters: Donna Liberty of Vermont and Holly DeGioia-Smero of New Jersey; sons-in-law: Jay and Stan; and grandsons: Curran, Owen and Cooper. He also leaves behind a brother: Anthony DeGioia and his wife Jean of New York; and brothers-in-law: Van, Morrell and Carlyle.
Visitation will be held at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home (177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901) on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be celebrated at the funeral home on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 12:00pm. Private cremation will follow.
