William James “Bill” Rogers of Airmont, NY died May 15, 2016 at age 75. Born July 9, 1940 to Horatio and Nellie (McRobb) Rogers. Bill served honorably with the U.S. Air Force before becoming a Police Officer with the NYPD. He retired in 1980 and was a member of the Rockland County Shields and the Hudson Valley 10-13. Bill loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survived by his loving children John Rogers (wife Noreen), Billy Rogers (wife Christine), Kevin Rogers (wife Gwyn), Noreen Nagelbush (husband Paul) and Christopher Rogers (wife Angela), caring grandchildren Haley, Sean, Matthew, Madison, Nicholas, Aurora, Kaylee, Tara and Brian, cherished great grandchildren Ryan, Logan, Callan and Brody devoted brother Allen Rogers (wife Pat). Predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years Mary Elizabeth Rogers and his sister Joan Caveny. Visitation Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home 177 Route 59 in Suffern, NY. Funeral Mass Friday 10am at Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River, NJ followed by an Entombment at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
