Billie Jean Smith, age 84, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015. She was born April 23, 1931, to Walter Herman Prohn and Annie May Buttram, in Hodge, Louisiana. Billie Jean graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1949. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. Her love for others and life will always be cherished.
Billie Jean is survived by her husband of 66 years, Karl “Russell” Smith Jr.; son, Steve Smith and his wife Jeannette; and granddaughter, Hope Smith.
Friends are invited to a visitation with family from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, June 1, 2015, at The Settegast-Kopf Company @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit). Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in the Morrow Chapel, of The Settegast-Kopf Company @ Sugar Creek.
