Brenda was born in Houston, Texas on December 23, 1959 to Bernice and Steve Grant Jr. Brenda was the oldest of three children. She graduated from James Madison High School, class of 1978 and after went on to work for Fort Bend County and State Farm Insurance Company. Eventually she left to be a full time wife and helped her husband with his many endeavors especially with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
Brenda was a very caring and generous wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. One of her passions was helping those in need and giving advice to family and friends. She loved giving gifts as a way of showing her affection. Brenda deeply cared about those she loved. She was an avid reader from a very young age which continued throughout her life. She also enjoyed music from many genres. She loved all things sparkly and beautiful, a taste which she acquired from her paternal grandmother, Stella Grant, who Brenda was very close to. Brenda never had any children of her own but had many fur-babies over the years, Chihuahua’s being her most favorite dog breed.
Brenda was preceded in death by both of her parents and was widowed twice; first husband Ben Denham and second Chris Fogerty, niece Summer Grant, and cousin Denise Rogers who was more like a sister to her. Brenda is survived by her brother Marc and wife Sheryl Grant, brother Michael Grant, six nieces and nephews, nine great-nieces and nephews, step-father Guy Nell as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
