Carolyn married Max Williams on Christmas Day in 1956. She worked for a number of companies in both the insurance and oil industries and retired from Superior Oil Company. As Max was transferred during his career with Texaco, they moved to several different states. Carolyn took great pride in the fact that she quickly established a comfortable and attractive home for her family at each location. She had several opportunities to display her homemaking skills as the family moved to Casper, Wyoming, Newtown, Connecticut, to Houston again, then to Midland, and finally back in Houston.
Carolyn loved entertaining, and was always delighted to host a gathering for friends or family. Over the years, she hosted many holiday parties, birthday parties, showers, and extravagant holiday meals for family and friends. Together with Max, they held a monthly bible fellowship in their home for over 25 years. She was a life-long church member and a strong woman of faith. Carolyn enjoyed travelling and seeing the world with the love of her life as they travelled to over 15 countries on three continents.
She was preceded in death by her parents, G.S. “Casey” and Inez Jones of Beaumont, TX.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 66 years, Max, her brother, Kell Jones and wife Marsha of Beaumont, TX, son, Rick Williams and wife Valerie, of Sugar Land, TX, and daughter, Robin Williamson and husband, Steve, of Sugar Land, TX; grandsons Trey Heath (wife Leslie) of Midway, GA, Jonathan Williamson (wife Liza) of Corinth, TX, Joshua Williams (Emily Colon) of Sugar Land, TX, and Craig Williams of Lockhart, TX; granddaughters Lauren Williamson of Waco, TX, Sarah Williams of Sugar Land, TX, Madelyn Williamson of Waco, TX; great-grandchildren Hampton and Hagen Heath; Joel, Emmett, Hope, and Haven Williamson; Bentley, Jaxson, and Maverick Williams.
