David was born on January 24, 1952, to Victor Manuel Figueroa and Hortense Matilda Figueroa. Born into a military family in Buenos Aires, Argentina, David’s early life was shaped by travel and service. Shortly after his birth, his family moved Montevideo, Uruguay, then Lake Charles Louisiana, and later to Madrid, Spain, where he spent much of his childhood and formative years.
After graduating high school, David moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he attended the University of New Mexico. New Mexico would remain a special place in his heart throughout his life, and he cherished returning there to spend time with close friends from his university years whenever he had the opportunity.
David eventually planted firm roots in Pleak, Texas, where he raised his family and made his home for over 30 years. It was there that he built a life grounded in hard work, stability, and devotion to his children, grandchildren and many pets.
David built a successful and respected career in real estate, working as an REO Broker for Freddie Mac. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and professionalism. His career was something he took great pride in, and he devoted himself fully to the work he did.
Above all else, David loved his family. He was a devoted father and a proud grandfather, and his grandchildren were truly his greatest joy.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Manuel Figueroa and Hortense Matilda Figueroa; his son, Brandon Joseph David Figueroa; and his brother, Michael Victor Figueroa.
David is survived by his children, Tiffany Roxanne Paulin, Glenn Thomas David Figueroa, and Michelle Marie Rose Figueroa and her fiancé, Brian Gudramovics; his grandchildren, Brianna Michelle Garza, Kyla Marie Figueroa, Kayleigh Marie Rose Gonzales, Colton Martin Gonzales, and Kamryn Leann Gudramovics; and his brother, Andrew Edmond Figueroa.
Though David often preferred the comfort of home, he deeply valued meaningful time spent with family and close friends. His quiet strength, dedication, and steady presence will be remembered always.
