

David Hollis Webster, 95, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021. He was born in Clyde, Texas on August 2, 1925. David was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Shirlie Ford Webster, his parents, Robert and Gladys Webster; and his son, David Kendrick Webster.
David grew up in Clyde, Texas. After graduating from Clyde High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He served during World War II as a tail gunner stationed in Guam. After his service, he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Pharmacy degree. After working for Parke-Davis & Co. for 37 years, he retired to the golf course.
David married Shirlie in 1953. They lived in Alice and Houston before setting down in Quail Valley, where he lived for 48 years. David was an active member of the Quail Valley Exchange Club, Quail Valley Golf Club and member of First United Methodist Church in Missouri City since 1971. David loved golf, football and the University of Texas.
David is survived by his daughter, Holly Webster Hackney and her husband, Todd and their children, Victoria and Caitlin; grandchildren Shelby, Brian, Cory and Tyler Webster and great grandchildren.
A private interment will be held later this year. Donations may be made Star of Texas Hospice, 5433 Westheimer Rd #920, Houston, TX 77056 or the memorial fund of First United Methodist Church, 3900 Lexington Blvd, Missouri City, TX 77459.
