Deborah Kay Bongiovanni, 68, of Richmond, Texas, passed away on April 26, 2026. Born January 13, 1958, in Washington Court House, Ohio, Deborah’s life was marked by steady devotion—expressed in the care she gave, the faith she lived, and the quiet kindness she extended to others.
Deborah earned a master’s degree in nursing and served as a Nurse Practitioner. In her work, her compassionate spirit and kind-hearted presence were evident, reflecting a calling to serve with both skill and grace.
For 37 years, Deborah was the beloved spouse of Peter Bongiovanni. She is also survived by her daughter, Stephanie Rodenberg-Lewis and her husband Karl; sister-in-law, Lori Pierce; and grandchildren, Peter Rodenberg and Tiffanie Patino. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Pierce and Mary DeWeese and her husband George, and her brothers, Joe Pierce and Gary Pierce.
Deborah found joy in ballroom dancing, flower gardening, caring for her dogs, and Ohio State Football. These simple pleasures were part of a life lived with warmth and gratitude and shared generously with those around her.
A faithful member of The Fellowship Christian Church in Cinco Ranch, Deborah served on the prayer team and hosted weekly bible studies. Her faith was not merely spoken, but practiced—steadfast in prayer, welcoming in fellowship, and constant in encouragement.
Her legacy is also carried in the love she showed at home, where she brought her father-in-law and then her mother into her home to care for them in their final years—an enduring testament to her compassionate heart and her unwavering commitment to family.
Special thanks to all the friends who called, visited, and offered prayers during the difficult times.
