Gary was deeply committed to his most cherished roles as a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle and Son.
Gary graduated from Barbers Hill High School in 1988, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of Houston, obtained his CPA License, and member of the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
Gary was a cherished colleague and friend. He was a cornerstone of Veridien Group (CGG) for over 25 years.
During his tenure, Gary was more than just a leader; he was a mentor and a trusted advisor to many. His remarkable ability to lead during the most stressful situations helped those around him to find clarity and understanding when they needed it most. Many sought his guidance not only in our work but also for his wisdom, perspective, and unwavering support.
Gary was known for his sharp mind and straightforward demeanor, coupled with deep and genuine care for those around him. He believed in the potential of others and was passionate about the development of his team and everyone he encountered. He was proud when members of his team advanced across the organization, and he often pushed others beyond their own belief in their potential.
Gary was a source of perspective, answers, and grounding. His legacy lives on in the countless careers he influenced and the culture he helped shape. We will miss him greatly—his presence, his voice, and the comfort of knowing he was just a call away. Most importantly, we will carry with us his wisdom, his passion, and his steadfast belief in what we can achieve together.
Gary was a man of many passions. He found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether it was cheering on his favorite NCAA Basketball team, the North Carolina Tar Heels ("GO Heels"), and NCAA Football team, the LSU Tigers ("Geaux Tigers"), or spending time on the golf course (Silverleaf in Scottsdale, Arizona was his all-time favorite to play).
Gary was an avid gamer who enjoyed raiding and progressing through the realms of World of Warcraft (“WOW”), where he developed enduring friendships and memorable experiences in various Guilds. He also had a deep appreciation for music, movies, YouTube, and streaming television shows & series. He treasured the time spent with his beloved family and Fur Babies, whose companionship brought him with peace and joy.
Gary's life was a blend of passion, intensity, and love. He made moments count, be it a big win, sharing music, or defeating a boss in "WOW" (IYKYN).
His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he loved—and those who loved him dearly in return. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever celebrated.
