Gloria Glodean Ferrell

Sugar Land, TX - Gloria Glodean Ferrell, 89 left this world to be with the Lord on April 14, 2024.

Gloria was born on June 8, 1934 to James Monroe and Iva Loyette Neeper in Sweetwater Texas. After graduating from Sweetwater High in 1951, she married Furman Clinton (Clint) Ferrell and joined her new husband as he completed college at the University of Texas in Austin.

After Clint’s graduation she began a 20 year adventure of being a wife to an Air Force fighter pilot while raising 3 children. After more than a dozen moves she and Clint retired to Buffalo Gap Texas and life on the ranch they loved. After her kids left home she attended Abilene Christian University graduating Summa Cum Laude with an education degree. Throughout her life she shared her passion of teaching with young children as a Sunday school teacher.

Gloria was predeceased by her husband Clint, daughters Teresa Fry and Lynn Brunettie. She is survived by son, Lee Ferrell (Lisa; devoted daughter-in-law) of Sugar Land. She is also survived by grandchildren Jeri Lynn Stephenson-Long, Joshua Fry, LeAnn Moore, Lee Ferrell Jr. and Mary-Katherine Ferrell. She was a devoted grandma to all of her grandchildren.

A visitation for Gloria will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Settegast-Kopf Company@Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas 77478, followed by a catered reception from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will occur Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Buffalo Gap Cemetery, 3226 FM 89, Buffalo Gap, TX 79508.
