Harvey Simon Price

HARVEY SIMON PRICE, age 77, of Sugar Land, TX, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2012. He was born August 17, 1935, in Pittsburgh, PA. Harvey graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Engineering Science, and received his PhD

in Mathematics from Case Western Reserve. He worked as a consultant in the oil and gas industry for over fifty years. Harvey was an avid golfer and club champion at Sugar Creek Country Club. He also was an intense runner, completing three marathons. Harvey recently celebrated his 31st AA birthday, and was a leading figure in bringing the sobriety message to the prison system of Harris and Fort Bend Counties, and the Celebrate Recovery Ministry at Sugar Creek Baptist Church.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Linda. He is survived by his wife Carolyn; sons, John (Jessica) Price, Jim (Gloria) Price, and Andrew (MacKenzie) Price; daughter, Amanda (David) Jackson; and nine grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 7, 2013, in the Chapel at Sugar Creek Baptist Church, 13333 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, with the Rev. Gregory Stahl officiating.
