

Ismael “Mael” Montero, 75, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, in Sugar Land, Texas. He was born on November 16, 1949, in San Ignacio, Belize, to his loving parents, Celia and Alejandro Montero.
Mael found great joy in spending time with his family, especially his siblings and beloved grandchildren. His presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him, and his love for his family was immeasurable.
He is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 31 years, Angela Montero; his parents, Celia and Alejandro Montero; and his sister, Aned Rosado, along with her husband, Romeo Rosado.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Ismael Montero Jr., Rudy Cabrera, and Kelvin Montero; his sisters, Vilma May (Carlos), Mariela Dacak (Habib Dacak), and Yvette Crawford (Michael); his brothers, Rene Montero (Thelma), Jaime Montero (Deysi), Alex Montero (Consuelo), Miguel Montero (Maria), and Rolando Montero (Yamira). He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth Montero, Christopher Cabrera, Johanna Cabrera, and Marisa Montero.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Methodist Neuro Medical Team for their care and support. A special thank you to all family members, friends, and prayer warriors for their love, offerings, and masses during this difficult time. The family is also especially grateful to Dr. Lori Rosado, Mael's beloved niece, for her medical advice and guidance in answering questions regarding their father’s health. Miley would also like to extend his deepest appreciation to Wendy and Michael Grace, as well as Tia Chena and Tia Yve, and Uncle Michael for always being by his father's side.
