

He was a kind, giving Texas southern gentleman who loved and served his family well.
Jerry was a devoted husband and is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Carolyn Rowe of Missouri City, TX; his children, Kyle Dean Rowe, Shelly and her husband, Dr. Sanjay Jatana, and Lori Rowe all of Denver, CO; brother, Bob Rowe of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Derek and Brett Rowe, Bradley and Mackenzie McBride and Laurie, Amie and Aaron Jatana; and great grandchildren, Jacob Rogers, Peyton Rowe and Isabella Rowe, who were all very special to him.
He is proceeded in death by Norma Wilson Rowe, the mother of his children.
Jerry worked for various companies in the oil and gas industry during his long illustrious working career. Jerry loved his country and served in the U.S. Army for two years which gave him a profound respect for the military and first responders.
He was a faithful, Christian servant and was a member of Sugar Land Baptist Church. Jerry loved basketball and continued to referee until he was 70.
Jerry and his family would like to thank Dale and Violet Gibson, Cheryl Moore, Antionette Melito, Shannon Johnson and friends at the Houston Center for Christian Counseling for their friendship and love during this times. The family would also like to thank the wonderful caring nurses, CNA’s and staff at Windsor Quail Valley. The family also extends their thanks to their loving neighbors for their support.
A memorial service in celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on August 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Morrow Chapel at The Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77478. Co-Officiants will be Gerald W. Ford, MA/MDiv/LPC-S/LMFT and Chris Curran, Associate Pastor of Education and Discipleship at Sugar Land Baptist Church.
