

Linda Anne Truxillo Joullian, BSN, RN, MS, 73, of Missouri City, Texas entered into the presence of the Lord on November 29, 2015, after a 15-year courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born on September 5, 1942, in New Orleans, LA, to Robert and Anna Truxillo.
She graduated in 1965 with a Bachelors of Nursing from University of Southern Lafayette. She moved to Houston, Texas in 1965 and worked at Methodist Hospital for 44 years starting as a registered staff nurse and ending in management. Linda was a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Society of Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists, Cardiovascular Nurse Specialists, and several other professional affiliates. She was awarded her Master’s degree in Education Technology in 2000 from the University of Houston. Linda loved to spend time with her family, gardening, in Bible Study and taking care of her dogs.
She is survived by her three daughters: Amy Young, husband, Mike; Nicole Joullian; Meredith Joullian; grandchildren: Madeline and Delaney Young; brothers: Peter Truxillo of Metairie, LA; Don Truxillo, wife Catherine, of Wahlberg, TX; Wayne Truxillo, wife Sandra, of Houston, TX; Glen Truxillo, wife Betsy, of Santa Barbara, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Anna Truxillo, her brother, Robert Truxillo, Jr., and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Truxillo.
The visitation will held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Missouri City First United Methodist Church, 3900 Lexington Blvd, Missouri City, TX 77459 with the funeral service starting at 11 AM with Reverend Marty Vershel officiating and a reception to follow the funeral service. Pallbearers are: Don Truxillo, Wayne Truxillo, Jack Vincent, Michael Young, Arthur Rojas, Lewis King, Zachary Loyacano, and Jason Calbert.
In lieu of flowers, Linda would prefer a donation made in her name to breast cancer research. Her family would like to recognize Vitas Hospice for their outstanding care.
Our mother spent her entire life dedicated to the service and encouragement of others. Linda touched many lives over the years and will be missed deeply.
