

Peggy was born in Dayton, Ohio, to James and Ruth Hoelscher Wilkie, on February 11, 1944. She went to Santa Monica High School, graduating in 1962, and went on to attend three semesters of college at the University of California in Riverside, where she met Alvin Goolsby, her husband of forty-eight years.
As a girl, Peggy was a dedicated member of the Girl Scouts Organization, and was recently honored in the town of Fulshear, TX, as the oldest Girl Scout in town. In the 1970’s, Peggy found a church home at the First Presbyterian Church of Sugar Land, where she was involved in many activities. She will be remembered as a loving mother, caring friend, and active member of the community.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Ruth Wilkie.
She is survived by her husband Alvin Goolsby; son, Brian Goolsby; daughter, Alison Goolsby; sister, Phyllis Anderson; nephew, Andrew Mancini; and niece, Kelly Mancini.
A Memorial Service celebrating Peggy’s life will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 24, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church of Sugar Land, 502 Eldridge Road, Sugar Land, with the Rev. Dr. Frederick Seay, officiating.
