Martin Rene Ugarte

Martin "Marty" Rene Ugarte, age 57, from Missouri City, Texas, passed away in San Antonio, Texas, on May 31, 2015. He was born on October 31, 1957, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Marty is preceded in death by his wife, Vivien Ugarte; father, Rudy Ugarte Sr.; and mother, Irene Ugarte. He is survived by his daughter, Meredith from Missouri City (granddog Lucy); and two sons, Martin Jr. (Karen) from Illinois, and Roger from Wisconsin; brothers, Rudy Ugarte Jr. (Sylvia), and Paul Ugarte (Esme); sisters, Irene Dolores DeHoyos and Marietta Ugarte ; mom, Virginia Ugarte; grandson, Alex Ugarte; brother in law, David Taylor (Judy); and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

For the majority of his life Marty worked for Prudential Insurance as an administrator. For the last several years he worked for USPH as a CPT coding specialist. As an adult he enjoyed traveling overseas to Asia and vacationing in Disney World. Marty was an avid Green Bay Packer fan as well as a stock owner of his beloved franchise. He became a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church. He was involved with the youth ministry and later became an ordained deacon.

Some knew Marty as smarty Marty and party Marty. He loved his family and friends and lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at The Settegast-Kopf @ Sugar Creek, on Friday, June 5. Visitation is from 6pm-8pm. Church services will be on Saturday, June 6, at 10am, at Southminster Presbyterian Church, followed by a burial service at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
