

MILDRED JEAN “TIMI” BEELER, age 90, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away peacefully January 10, 2015. Timi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all. Timi was born in Dunn County, Wisconsin, on July 16, 1924. She was a Sugar Land resident for 26 years, during which time she volunteered at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital for over 20 years, attended bible classes at her church, St. Laurence, played golf, traveled with family and friends, and participated in yoga classes until age 85. When she was younger she traveled extensively with her World War II Marine Raider veteran husband of 51 years, Mike Beeler, all over the world. Timi was also a World War II veteran in the Navy. She was a resident of Evansville, Indiana for 33 years and graduated from the University of Evansville, after which she worked in Vanderburgh County, Evansville as a Social Worker for many years. She will be dearly missed by all.
Survivors include her children, Debbie Schlichte and her husband Mike, David, Dirk, and Duane and his wife Lori; grandchildren, Michael Beeler and his wife Angela, Brian Beeler, Megan Schlichte, and Ryan and Katherine Beeler; sister, Mary Ann Allmann and her husband Jack; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 19, 2015, at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd., Sugar Land, with the Rev. Drew Wood, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal will follow at 12:30 PM, at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, with full military honors.
