

PATRICIA NORDIN, of Sugar Land, born November 7, 1944, entered God’s Kingdom on Monday, April 15, 2013, following complications of a stroke. Pat was a loyal employee of State Farm Insurance for over thirty years. She was a member of Lexington Blvd. Baptist Church. Many friendships were formed during her years in the Sugar Land area, and were deeply cherished by Pat. Pat’s daughters and grandchildren will treasure her for the moral values and guidance that she exhibited, always setting the example for others to follow. Pat was profoundly proud of her country, and had a very special love and respect for the American military. She was an exemplary grandparent with a very generous heart. Pat will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Nordin; and her great-granddaughter, Emily Stephens. Pat is survived by her daughters, Lorrie Thomas and husband Jason, Lynda Rogers and husband Russ, and Sandy Stock; eight grandchildren, Christopher Stephens, Stephanie Hensley, Nicholas Stephens, Kyle Greenfield, Ryan Rogers, Megan Rogers, Jacob Stock, and Kelly Stock; and two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Tyler Hensley. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, April 22, 2013, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit). Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 23, 2013, in the Chapel at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston. (We will be meeting at Houston National Cemetery, in front of the Administration Building, in Corege Lane 1). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to K9s for Warriors, which uses service canines to aid in the recovery of military warriors suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
