

Peggy Jane Haddow passed away on August 14, 2024, at the age of 93 peacefully at home with the love of her life, John, holding her hand. She was the beloved daughter of James Henry Hunter and Nellie Amelia Jane Neville of Detroit, Michigan.
Growing up, Peggy was a devoted member of the Presbyterian Church and found joy in her many hobbies, including gardening, collecting puzzles, and her cherished Baltimore Rose China. Peggy also cherished the many joyful years she spent square dancing with her husband and close friends. Happy memories that she held dear throughout her life. Peggy enjoyed being a mother the most and dedicated her life to raising her family in a home filled with laughter, kindness, and love.
Peggy Jane Haddow is preceded in death by her loving parents, James Henry Hunter and Nellie Amelia Jane Neville; her sister, Joyce Eleanor Husen; brother-in-law, Robert Alfred Husen; sister-in-law, Betty Lindsay and her daughter-in-law, Lynne Candyce Haddow.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 69 years, John Alexander Haddow; daughter, Laura Jane Sugawara; sons, Mark Allan Haddow and Paul Alexander Haddow; daughter-in-law, Gail Ann Haddow and son-in-law, Kenneth Kenji Sugawara, Jr.; grandchildren, Megan Lynn Haddow, Bradley Alexander Haddow, Ryanne Elizabeth Haddow (Emee Hebert), Caitlin Joan Carrasco (Rudy), Alissa Jane Sugawara, Connor John Kenji Sugawara, and Ian James Kenneth Sugawara.
The Haddow family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Peggy’s friend and caregiver, Felicia Wortham, for her support and compassionate care during her time of need. We would also like to thank the staff at Enhabit Home Health & Hospice for their kindhearted support given to Peggy and her family.
Friends and family are welcome to join the Haddow family for the visitation and prayer on Wednesday, August 21, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Settegast-Kopf Funeral Home in Sugar Creek. A private family graveside service will take place on August 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Forest Park Southwest Cemetery.
