He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel M. Gutierrez, Jr.
Rene is survived by his wife, Carrie Arnold Gutierrez; daughters, Amanda and Victoria; mother, Elvira Gutierrez; sister, Alma Gutierrez Castro and her husband Jose; nephews, Nathan and Kyle Castro; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Monday, December 20, 2010, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Parkway United Methodist Church, 5801 New Territory Blvd., Sugar Land, TX 77479.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, in the Morrow Chapel of The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77478, with the Rev. Marty Vershel, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rene's memory may be made to the ACE Mentor Program @www.acementor.org, or to a college fund established for Amanda and Victoria in c/o Parkway United Methodist Church.
