RICHARD DONALD “DON” HULL, age 84, a long time resident of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011. He was born March 2, 1926, in Pittsburg, Texas, to William and Janey Storey Hull.
Don served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European theater. He graduated from Texas A&M in the Class of "47, with a Degree in Chemical Engineering. Don worked as a Pipeline Engineer throughout the world with Sun Oil Co. and Pipeline Technologists Inc./Kaneb.
Following his retirement, he worked as a consultant, and proudly served his community as a volunteer on various committees and boards throughout Sugar Land.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Carole Jean Byerly Hull.
He is survived by his daughters, Janee Lawrence and her husband Keith of Waverly, GA, and Suzy Quigley and her husband Phil of Sugar Land, TX; and grandchildren, Chris and Scott Lawrence, and Don and David Quigley.
A Memorial Celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 19, 2011, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit), with the Rev. Phil Grose, officiating.
