Scarlett Sofia Fuentes

SCARLETT SOFIA FUENTES passed away peacefully in the arms of her mother with her father standing close by this past Friday morning. Scarlett was born August 22, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. and met the arms of Jesus at 6:45 A.M., September 17, 2010. During her short days here on Earth, she touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. Her life was a brief gift to us that will live on in the sweet memories of those who loved and prayed for her, and the many lessons that were learned about love, faith and our need for each other and our need for Jesus, Our Savior. Scarlett was the infant daughter of Cinnamon and Adrian Fuentes. She is survived by her triplet sisters, Satine Sofia and Skylar Sofia Fuentes. Maternal grandparents are Cecil and Linda Peschel and Dr. Mazie and Brent Leftwich, the maternal great-grandmother is Dr. Elise Hoffman Brinkley, and the paternal grandparents are Martin and Bertha Fuentes, all in the Houston and/or Sugar Land area. There are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in the local area as well. A special thank you to all the hundreds of individuals and groups who have been prayer warriors since the birth of the triplets; please continue to pray for Satine and Skylar. A very special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and other medical team members of the Texas Women's Hospital NICU III, who have been the compassionate and highly professional caregivers. In lieu of flowers the family would be honored to have you support the Jabez Foundation, a non-profit foundation that supports local charities and church activities for children. Please designate your gift for the Texas Women's Hospital NICU in memory of Scarlett, where all memorial funds will be channeled. A Memorial Service will be held at River Pointe Community Church, 5000 Ransom Road, Richmond, just off the SW Freeway at Crabb River Road, this Tuesday at 11 A.M., September 21, 2010. A reception to meet with the family will be held following the service.
